Joyce Wagner  - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Joyce joined QIS in the spring of 2007 after leaving her job as Principle Finance Specialist at General Dynamics, when the finance department was being moved out of the area. She holds a degree in Business Management with a focus in accounting and human resource from the University of Buffalo and has proven to be extremely valuable at QIS.  Over the past year, Joyce has not only managed the financial department, but she has taken a leadership position in the evolution of new financial processes.  Quality Inspection Services, Inc. is proud to have her as a team leader. 

Cathy Coughenour - Director of Executive Affairs

Cathy has been with QIS since 1994.   In the beginning, Cathy was the only corporate administration and support person at QIS.   As QIS has grown and changed through the years, so has her job description. Her role at QIS has been an ever changing one.  It has grown and evolved along with the company.  She has taken on each new challenge with remarkable vigor.   Her loyalty and dedication to QIS has proven her exceptionally valuable in both QIS’ past and most certainly our future.   

The work ethic that Cathy possesses along with her leadership qualities has earned her promotion to the Director of Executive Affairs; this is a newly created position, working directly with the President / CEO on Corporate Executive Matters.

Carrie Drewiega – Senior Executive Representative 

For the past 15 years, Carrie has worked hand in hand with the QIS team on multiple NQA-1 contracts.  It will be one year ago this August that Carrie joined the QIS team as a Quality Engineer.  In that time she has obtained certification by the American Society of Quality as a Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ CQA), performed 11 audits on the east coast, created the IP website to better control our QA documents, had a hand in revising and implementing those QA documents, thus supporting the company and enhancing our position for future projects.  It is her wide-range knowledge and understanding of the industry and QIS’ potential, that she has been promoted to Senior Executive Representative.  This is a new position, created out of need for additional support on the executive level due to the increase in corporate activities.

Terry Sullivan - Director of Nuclear Services

Terry started his career at QIS in 1991 as a QC inspector.   He had successfully worked his way through the ranks up to Corporate QA Manager, only to leave QIS to join QED as Vice President.    Under his management the last two years, QED has grown and sales have increased. Terry is definitely regarded as one of the greatest assets that this corporation has experienced.  He possesses incredible knowledge and background in which QIS has grown from. It is to our pleasure that  he has eagerly decided to rejoin QIS and fill a position created to expand our  nuclear prospects.

John "Chips" Meierdierck - Vice President Southeast Operations

"Chips" joined the QISI team this past December as the Jacksonville Florida Operations Manager. He has recently received a promotion to Vice President Southeast Operations. He came to us from the North Florida Shipyards (NFSY), at the Mayport Naval Base, where he was the Quality Assurance Director, and Corporate Level III NDT Examiner.  Also while at NFSY, he was a member of the Jacksonville Area Ship Repair Association (JASRA) where he was the chairman of the Quality Management Board representing the prime contractors that work on the Navy ships at the Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, FL. Besides having a strong QA background he also has a strong NDT background. During his time in the Navy as enlisted person, he attended the NAVSEA Navy NDT school early on and after certifying as a level II Nuclear and Non Nuclear inspector he returned the Naval NDT school where he became an instructor in VT, MT, PT, UT, RT, and ET courses. While there he also certified as a NAVSEA Non Nuclear and a Nuclear NDT Level III Examiner at Westinghouse Electric Corp. Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory.  

Phil Santos - Manchester NDE Supervisor

Philip Santos is newly promoted to NDE Supervisor in the Connecticut Office. 

He has been performing NDE since 1991 with various companies and came to us from Team Industrial Services.  Philip has worked his way from the bottom up, from working PT/MT Departments as a Level I to his recent accent to Level III status. He brings with him knowledge, know how, integrity and the willingness to be successful that being a part of the QIS team strives on.
