On September 17, 2008, President/CEO John E. Sisson was one of five recipients of a 2008 Galanis Award for Excellence in Family Business. The Galanis family, along with Alfred University, has used the Galanis Awards for Excellence in Family Business to recognize and honor the very best family-owned firms in Western New York.  The Galanis Award is given to a family-owned business based on financial stability, innovation, quality of life for employees, record of growth, and contributions to the community.
